A Candidate who has passed the two-year pre-university examination conducted by the karnataka pre-university board or any other examination considered as equivalent there to with any combination of optional subjects shall be eligible for admission to the BA degree course. The students admitted to BA degree course shall opt for any three subjects enumerated under the faculty of arts as optional subjects with equal weightage. The medium of instruction shall be either kannada or English.

The Department of History began its task with the founding of the College as a General subject and continued for a considerable amount of time as a general subject solely. Students are demanding for the opportunity to choose History as major subject. Numerous students have graduated from the Department over the years. the student who earned the highest grade on each of the final exam’s required papers. Along with teaching, the Department also prepares students for quiz competitions, group discussions, and class-level seminars and debates so they can keep up with the times. Above all, the faculty member is constantly prepared to provide students on and off campus with any needed aid or direction. As a result, every student passes their final exam with flying colors.

One of the first departments to be formed was the Department of Economics. The Department has been providing undergraduate economics courses since it was established. At the undergraduate levels, it attracts the most students from within the state and local areas. The Department has a strong history of providing quality education. Students consistently received perfect grades with 100 percent results. The Department’s teaching initiatives are concentrated on effectively fusing “quality” with “relevance.” This is intended to be accomplished by regular curriculum updates that reflect the evolution of knowledge in the field and place an equal emphasis on theoretical economics. The different branches of development economics, economic growth, international economics, agrarian economics, monetary economics, and public finance are among the focus branches. The department is successfully adopted syllabus of New Education policy-2020 and preparing the students accordingly.

The aim of this discipline is to imbibe the knowledge of political science and its philosophy, ideals, institutions and concepts. The scope of this course covers the topics like state, government and administration. It also helps in understanding the political systems, Public Administration, Public policy and international relations.
- To educate students on the fundamental concepts of political science viz., Liberty, Equality, Justice, Rights, Power & Sovereignty.
- To inculcate values about the working of the Democracy.
- To develop leadership qualities amongst the students.
- To promote civic sense amongst students.
- To prepare students for a sound career after their graduation.
- To prepare students to become better citizens of the country
